Hog Roast Peterlee – Summer Wedding Dining

Hog Roast PeterleeFor us at Hog Roast Peterlee weddings are the ultimate catered experience. It is such an important occasion in one’s life and guests tend to expect an exciting menu to match to the occasion. Thankfully, exciting menus is exactly what we do here at Hog Roast Peterlee.

Late last year we were contacted by Marie and her husband-to-be Fearghas about catering for their wedding this summer. The pair had been putting off their special day for a year prior because the uncertainty around lockdowns and regulations was still hanging around unwantedly. With things getting more stable come November however the pair were finally ready to commit to a date for August 2022. That time is now! Or, more accurately last weekend, and Hog Roast Peterlee were indeed in attendance to help shepherd the catered experience with our illustrious wedding menu and stylish dining service.

Marie and Fearghas love travelling, so for their wedding they loved the idea of starting with our antipasti platter which provides guest a fine selection of excellent Italian meats, cheeses, and artisanal breads. These platters were served to guest tables just as they took to their seats, and consisted of Prosciutto, Parma Ham, and thinly sliced Salami along with a cheese selection of Buffalo Mozzarella, Parmagiano, and Gorgonzola. Guests can enjoy mop up these delicious meats and cheeses with a Herb Focaccia, Ciabatta, Breadsticks, and a good drizzling of Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Balsamic Vinegar.

These platters were perfect to pick at while the usual wedding party speeches took place. In the meantime too our chef team was busy plating up our magnificent mains. The main was of course our famous Hog Roast, or our veggie BBQ Pulled Jackfruit substitute, both with an accompaniment of Sage and Onion Stuffing, Apple Sauce, Seasonal Leaves, Homemade Gourmet Coleslaw, and Buttered New Potatoes. A classic of our wedding menus at Hog Roast Peterlee!

No meal is complete without dessert of course, which along with the wedding cake was a choice of either Cheesecake or Chocolate Torte, each served with cream. If anyone still had room after all that we would be mightily impressed!
