When John booked Hog Roast Newcastle for a traditional centrepiece hog roast for his own 70th birthday party, he wanted us to make pigs in buns for his forty guests of friends and family members. Having enjoyed one of our famous hog roasts in the past, albeit served with seasonal vegetables, potatoes and our homemade onion gravy, John wanted to try our hog roast rolls this time, and knew his guests would too. He couldn’t wait to try our yummy pieces of heaven so we booked him in and he patiently counted down the days to our arrival.

Our Hog Roast Newcastle chef and catering assistants made their way to the venue, a local sports club, early this afternoon. With the serving time set for 6pm, we had to get there hours before anyone else, in order to set up our equipment and start preparing the fresh, local, high-quality meat. Before long, it was sizzling away, and we kept an eye on it for the next few hours.

Later on in the day, we sliced the fresh bread rolls, dished up our stuffing and apple sauce, arranged the condiments and then it was finally time to carve away the crackling and slice up the meat, and the guests queued up together with John.
