Graduating In Style With A Hog Roast South Shields Lunch!

For the students whose university courses come to an end in the summertime, July is the most important month on the calendar. Signalling a definitive end to their years of caffeine-fuelled study sessions in the lead-up to exams, the writing of dissertation papers and all of the other stresses that come hand in hand with uni life, students can excitedly look forward to their graduation ceremonies knowing that their hard work has paid off!

But as well as being a deeply gratifying experience for uni-goers, these events are always lots of fun for friends and family, who come along to share their moral support and pride over their loved one’s success. Universities hosting these events always go big with decorations and delicious food, which makes these occasions all the more enjoyable for everyone involved.

This year especially, Hog Roast South Shields has noticed a huge buzz around graduating from students and teachers alike – not that we can blame them! With the education sector having been deeply affected by Covid restrictions, many students found themselves flip-flopping between classroom-based and remote learning for over 2 years, which undoubtedly made passing the end-of-year tests an even trickier feat for students.

With this in mind, graduation event organisers from a nearby university had decided to throw an unforgettable event in honour of their students who worked so hard to achieve great results in their final exams this year. The Hog Roast South Shields  team was invited along to attend these celebrations and we had the honour of treating the guests to our Southern Slow Roast Menu!

Hog Roast South ShieldsJarrod, who is Hog Roast South Shields’s head of catering, was in charge of making sure the event ran like clockwork, and he certainly didn’t let the client down! By the time the students had collected their diplomas and the teary-eyed speeches had finished, our team was ready to serve a supreme spread of BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chicken and grilled vegetable skewers with salad, coleslaw, mac and cheese and mixed fries, which everyone agree was the perfect end to a wonderful afternoon!
