Earlier this year, Hog Roast Stanhope was hired to cater for an office lunch taking place in the Northeast of England. Stacey, the office manager, planned to host a buffet lunch for her staff as a way to reward them for having a great start to the year and to give them the motivation to keep working hard. The company had hired Hog Roast Stanhope for a corporate event in the past and everyone was more than happy with the service that we provided, so they were keen to book in again! Our catering manager Jarrod discussed menu options that would be ideal for a buffet lunch, and Stacey decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal, along with a meat-free main dish. Our team was more than happy to get involved and return to this office!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Stanhope team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare for the 1:00pm mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the main dish, which was a delicious hog cooked to perfection and served with sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we provided BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat-free alternative to pulled pork. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, alongside seasonal salad dishes and homemade chips. Overall, this created a varied and nutritious lunch and gave everyone something to look forward to!
