Just last week, our team had the pleasure of wowing a roomful of excited families who had purchased tickets for an Xmas lunch with a special appearance from the big man himself – Santa Claus! The event, organised by Maya on behalf of a local hotel, was a spectacular affair. The venue had been transformed into Santa’s grotto, adorned with festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere for the 100 guests, which included children of all ages, parents, and grandparents.
The morning’s activities, consisting of kid-friendly mocktails, face painting, cookie decorating, and arts and crafts, ensured everyone had developed a healthy appetite by the time the lunch bell chimed.
Stealing the hearts of meat fanatics, Hog Roast Concord served up our slow-roasted free-range turkey, paired with cranberry sauce and sage and onion stuffing. For the plant-based crowd, we presented grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers with flatbreads, sweet chilli sauce, and tzatziki dip.
Of course, the feast didn’t stop there! Our spread included succulent pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, glazed seasonal vegetables, roasties, gluten-free rolls and rich gravy. To sweeten the deal, our homemade mince pies with warm brandy cream brought the festivities to a delicious close.
But the real highlight? A thrilling appearance from the one and only Santa Claus! The sound of a ringing bell hushed the room, and with a hearty “ho-ho-ho,” Santa brought the magic to life.
