Here at Hog Roast Longbenton, we’re often asked to cater with more than our scrumptious signature food – either with supplemental dishes added in order to make it a multi-course menu or with alternatives to cater for varying personal tastes or dietary needs. Our Alfresco is a three-course feast with an Italian twist that gives you a hog roast centrepiece for your main, served with side dishes, but you also get to enjoy Italian meats, cheese and breads to start and then two homemade desserts to finish. We serve the antipasti platters to the tables and they’re rustic-style on wooden boards, where you help yourself to how much you want, and we include extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. Next, you and your guests queue for a buffet-style hog roast, served with our famous golden crackling and homemade apple sauce and stuffing, as well as gourmet coleslaw, a selection of seasonal leaves, a tomato and mozzarella salad and either roasties or buttered new potatoes. Plus the desserts you get to decide on in advance include two from profiteroles in a rich chocolate sauce, chocolate torte, tarte au citron, cheesecake and summer pudding, which are all served with cream.
