When we first started hog roasting well over twenty years ago we were the only hog roasters around. Hog roast Hedley On The Hill catering was quite slow to pick up to start but it soon caught on and so did so many other hog roasters now the Internet is full of them! We don’t find others a threat we have built up a great business over the years and we are so pleased Hedley On The Hill hog roasting has proven to be as popular as it has. For the past few weekends we have been in our hometown catering and Saturday morning was the same we arrived at the local community centre they were hosting a surprise retirement party for the caretaker he had been working there for the past forty years. We arrived nice and early and set up our marquee the tables were all set and we soon had racks of lamb, beef and chicken on the go and we had some lovely girl guides who came over and asked if we wanted a hand which we thought really sweet so the girls then helped us set the tables when the meat was just about cooked we were all told to be silent as the caretaker had arrived when he walked through the back everyone jumper up and shouted “surprise”! and gosh he was surprised he nearly fell over hundreds had turned out to wish him well and grown ups who used to attend the youth club as children came to bid him a fond farewell and he recognised most faces and some of these people he had not seen in over 30 years! Hog roast hire Hedley On The Hill started to carve and plate the meat and the party was soon in full swing we chatted to the gentleman later In the day and he said the food was amazing he said when he arrived at the community centre earlier in the day he wondered what the wonderful smell was as he could smell the meat long before he arrived! He said he didn’t in his wildest dreams imagine it was for him, we love surprising people.
