After spending time apart in the last few years due to COVID-19, the Kennington family were happy that 2022 have them the opportunity to gather together again like they used to. To start off the year right, the family organised catering for a family reunion, providing a delicious, family-friendly meal with a dish for everyone to enjoy. For the catering, Hog Roast Aycliffe was asked to provide a menu that was suitable for guests of all ages, including plenty of food for 25 guests to include. After discussing our options, we decided that our classic hog roast menu was an ideal choice, followed by a selection of desserts.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Aycliffe team arrived in advance of the 2:00 pm mealtime, allowing for plenty of time to prepare the menu. We began by roasting the hog, ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. The meat was then expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls and wraps, alongside homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, and sage and onion stuffing.
Once the main course had been enjoyed, the Hog Roast Aycliffe team served sticky toffee pudding and tasty cheesecake, with both dishes accompanied by fresh fruit and English cream. This created a dish that looked and tasted incredible and was the perfect way to end the meal.
