This October, our catering manager Steve was contacted about providing catering for Chris’ 40th birthday party. The party was taking place at Co Durham with 40 guests, requiring a gluten-free dish and a variety of main courses. After discussing our catering options, we decided that our Southern slow-roast menu would be the perfect choice since it contains a variety of main courses and a selection of delicious sides.
On the day of the event, our caterers arrived at lunchtime to prepare for the 19:00 mealtime. We began by slow roasting the main dishes, including a BBQ pork butt, a Texan beef brisket, and Louisiana sticky pork ribs. The main dishes were served with fresh bread rolls, included a gluten-free alternative. Alongside the main dishes, we also served Greek salad, corn cobettes, roasted baby potatoes and potato salad. This created a delicious and varied main course, with something for every guest to enjoy.
We served our catering buffet style, on bamboo wooden crockery and cutlery, which was the perfect level of formality for the event. The Hog Roast Hexham team had a lot of fun catering for this event and it was great to be a part of Chris’ birthday party. Our menu was a great success and there was a dish for every guest to enjoy, which is always important at a birthday!
