Being a solicitor comes with its fair share of stress – that’s just part of the job, isn’t it? From handling tricky conveyancing to sorting out wills and probate, the team at Cooklaw Solicitors in Sunderland is pretty much always on the go. So when the chance came to let off a bit of steam, they didn’t waste it.
And honestly? This bunch knows how to have a good time. On a scorching hot Wednesday in the middle of June, the Cooklaw crew traded office chairs for garden chairs and kicked back at their summer launch party – complete with sunshine, good vibes, and the mouthwatering smell of slow-roasted pork drifting through the air.
We were chuffed to be invited along. Hog Roast Sunderland handled the catering, bringing along our signature hog roast to help make the evening that bit more special.
That said, we didn’t roll in with a whole hog on display this time. Some guests aren’t too keen on seeing the full thing roasting, which we totally get – not everyone’s into that. We’re always happy to switch things up when needed.
So for this event, we roasted the hog off-site and carved it all ahead of time. Still the same slow-roasted tenderness, just served up a little differently. We arrived at Sunderland Business Park just in time to get things set up before guests started arriving.
As well as the pulled pork, Hog Roast Sunderland dished up crispy crackling, rich sage and onion stuffing, and a bunch of fresh sides including tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, creamy coleslaw, and herby new potatoes. There was more than enough to feed all 100 guests, no problem.
Of course, the food wasn’t the only thing keeping the party going. Cooklaw also brought in the Boozy Bullet team, who kept drinks flowing and spirits high (pun unintended!) from their gleaming mobile bar!
With the weather on their side, plenty of food and drink, and a cracking atmosphere, the Cooklaw crew pulled off a fantastic summer bash. Hog Roast Sunderland loved being part of it – and we’d happily do it all over again.
