This past Saturday, the Hog Roast Cramlington team packed up our grills and made our way to the countryside for one of the most exciting events of the season – the Game and Country Fair! Set in the heart of the North East countryside, the event took place at a beautiful manor house, nestled among acres of lush land, providing the perfect backdrop for a day packed with action and entertainment.
There was so much going on, it was hard to know where to start! From impressive equine displays and thrilling K9 aqua sports to the nail-biting excitement of clay pigeon shooting, there was no shortage of things to see and do. And let’s not forget the live music that played throughout the day, adding a festive vibe to the whole event.
For the kids, there were fairground rides, rock-climbing walls, and face-painting stalls to keep them entertained for hours. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the shopping was on another level with a huge selection of stalls offering locally made preserves, handmade crafts, and all sorts of artisanal goodies.
But we all know the real reason people flock to these events, right? Yep, it’s the food! And while there were plenty of options to choose from – pizza, kebabs, gyros, you name it – Hog Roast Cramlington was the star of the show. With our hog roast sandwiches included in the entry fee, we were ready to give everyone a taste they wouldn’t forget.
Feeding hundreds of hungry guests might sound like a huge task, but for us, it’s just another day in the office. We love the hustle and bustle of it all! Our Platinum grills were working overtime, slow-cooking two whole pigs at once, and the whole team was fired up and ready to serve. By the time the crowds started to arrive, we were ready to roll, serving up our signature sandwiches with a choice of gluten-free or wholemeal buns, stuffed with juicy pulled pork, crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and a generous dollop of tangy applesauce.
And because we at Hog Roast Cramlington love going the extra mile, we didn’t stop there. We added a side of sweet potato fries and classic crispy fries, along with a big helping of gourmet coleslaw to complete the feast. Let’s just say, people were swooning over every bite!
